I’ve come up with a simple way to encapsulate the benefits of LLMs we refer to as AI: momentarily useful. To explain, let me first present my good use cases for LLMs. Then, I’ll contrast that with what they are disastrously bad at doing, and why “momentarily useful” explains the gap.
